Food Programs
Our Food Programs are designed to address senior hunger and nutrition challenges in Palm Beach County, where 1 in 7 seniors face food insecurity and many live in food deserts. We provide a variety of food programs to ensure seniors receive healthy, fresh, and affordable food options:

Buyer’s Club: Seniors can access substantial savings by purchasing food in bulk at wholesale prices from approved purveyors, making groceries more affordable than retail options. TO ORDER (click here)

Home Delivered Meals: Nutritious meals are prepared and delivered every Wednesday, with special attention to freshness, increased proteins, vegetables, and fruits. Meals are tailored to be low in salt, sugar, and fat, supporting seniors with chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.

Medically Tailored Meals: Meals are customized to meet specific health needs, ensuring seniors with medical conditions and undergoing chemotherapy and dialysis receive appropriate nutrition.

Congregate Feeding: Breakfast and lunch are served on the 1st and 3rd Mondays at our social activities, providing opportunities for seniors to enjoy meals and holiday celebrations together in a supportive environment.

Pantry Deliveries: Nonperishable donated food is delivered 2 times a month directly to seniors in need.

Fresh Produce: We purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from local growers, ensuring seniors have access to healthy, seasonal produce.

Holiday Baskets: Special baskets of food and flowers are provided during holidays to bring comfort and joy to seniors.

Social Activities
Our Social Activity Programs are designed to combat isolation, promote wellness, and enrich the lives of seniors in our community. We strive to provide essential resources and meaningful engagement for seniors facing isolation, transportation challenges, disabilities, and chronic illness. We offer a wide range of activities and support services:

Holiday Cultural Celebrations: Seniors participate in special events that honor diverse traditions and foster community.

Bereavement Support: Compassionate support, including repast for homegoing celebrations, helps seniors cope with loss.

Food, Fun, and Field Trips: Social outings and recreational activities provide opportunities for engagement and enjoyment.

Educational Programming: Includes nutrition education, chair/yoga exercises, “Healthy Lifestyles” classes, and games that challenge memory.

Information & Updates: Seniors receive updates on benefit changes and opportunities, including LIHEAP, EHEAP, SNAP, SSA, SSI, Medicare, city programs, free transportation, food distribution sites, and health department information.

Concerts & Movie Outings: Entertainment events are organized to bring joy and cultural enrichment.

Guided Conversations: Support for maintaining mental health, especially during and after momentous events.

Social Activities: Held twice a month at First Presbyterian Church in Boynton, including breakfast, games, fashion shows, meditation, chair exercise, yoga, and field trips.

Basic Essential Services
Our program is dedicated to delivering the most fundamental and essential services to seniors and low-income individuals in our community. We focus on meeting immediate needs that are critical for daily living and well-being:

Emergency Food Assistance: We provide nutritious meals to those facing hunger, ensuring that no senior or low-income individual goes without food.

Shelter and Financial Aid: Our team assists with applications for the Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP & EHEAP) to help pay for utilities. When available, we also offer emergency financial aid for rent, mortgage, or utility payments.

Comprehensive Support: Our nationally recognized “Aging in Place” model ensures seniors can remain safely at home, maintaining dignity and independence. We address nutritional needs, physical and mental health, financial stability, and access to vital community-based services.

Resource Navigation: We connect clients to reputable referrals and resources, including support for end-of-life planning when requested.

Continuous Engagement: Our elder care team maintains meaningful contact throughout each participant’s journey, including hospital visits, rehabilitation check-ins, and support for families during times of loss.
